Filiz Kilic is the founding Director of Kilic & Kilic Solicitors. Prior to setting up Kilic & Kilic Solicitors, Filiz was a Partner at a High Street firm in North London.

Filiz was admitted as a solicitor in January 2004, having graduated from the University of London, Queen Mary and Westfield College with a 2:1 Honours Degree in LLB Law and completing her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law with a Distinction.

Filiz has a particular interest and expertise in Family Law and consequently has a wealth of experience in all aspects of family law work where she undertakes work ranging from public and private Children Act proceedings (including Care Proceedings, section 8 Children Act Proceedings and applications within the Hague Convention Proceedings) to divorce and financial aspects of divorce and relationship breakdown and also domestic violence applications (Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders). Filiz conducts the advocacy in majority of her cases and is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children.

Supplementary to her family law work, Filiz has experience in personal injury work, road traffic accidents, slip and trip cases, employment law and also has a wide range of experience in immigration law. Within the context of immigration law Filiz has represented clients in applications for Judicial Review and appeals to the Court of Appeal.

Filiz is also involved in public interest work (pro-bono) through providing advice and assistance in drop in sessions and legal workshops to various community organisations, aiming to assist the more deprived members of the community. She has provided interviews and written articles for various local Turkish & Kurdish Newspapers and Radios.
